Is CBD Just Another Health Fad?

Is CBD Just Another Health Fad

When it comes to the wellness industry, something we can all agree on is that there is always something new and exciting floating around. Anything from Atkins to Keto – How do we know what to trust and whether it’s just another fad? So, is CBD just another fad?

For some, it may be. However, with the seemingly endless benefits that CBD provides, there are a lot of people out there who have adapted CBD into their daily routine and can’t see themselves without it anytime soon. Let’s talk about why CBD products have the potential to stick around long-term!

Is CBD a Fad?

Without even going into the health benefits of CBD, let’s dive into the industry from a financial viewpoint. Forbes analytics state that the CBD industry is on pace for and is projected to hit $20 billion by 2024. Yeah, that’s billion, with a “b”.

We can say with confidence that the CBD industry isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

Why is CBD a Fad for Some?

There are a couple of reasons why CBD will be and have been a fad for some people. Expectations and quality of the product.

When incorrect expectations are set about anything, the reality can be less than perfect. For example, you’ve heard from a co-worker that CBD has helped tremendously with their quality of sleep. They’ve been getting a solid 8 hours of sleep ever since they started taking CBD Softgels.

So you give it a shot. You start taking what they recommend, but you’re still having trouble sleeping. What the heck?!

This could be for a bunch of different reasons. What we’ve found is that a majority of the time, there are other underlying issues that aren’t helping. Netflix binges before bed, endless Instagram scrolling, or lack of exercise, for example.

While CBD can help you with your sleep issues, it won’t help you put down your smartphone before bed and let your body get into “sleep-mode”

Another common occurrence is someone hearing about CBD, doing little research, running to their nearest convenience store, and buying whatever the clerk says they should. CBD is no different than other industries out there, in the aspect that you get what you pay for.

Think about it this way. There are premium CBD companies out there, let’s compare them to Apple or Samsung. Anytime they come out with a new and exciting product, what do you see everyone else doing? Trying to make products very similar to theirs and selling them at a fraction of the price.

Now, I don’t know about you, but anytime I’ve bought a cheap product, I can tell. Whether it’s the external quality, internal quality, or awful customer service, there is something about that product that makes the experience of buying that off-brand, cheaper alternative not worth it. CBD is no different!

So What is the Best CBD?

What makes CBD so interesting is the unique plant, hemp, it is extracted from. Hemp has over 100 compounds that most plant species don’t, known as cannabinoids. CBD is one of these phytochemicals.

When cannabinoids work together, they cause a synergistic effect that strengthens the formula. CBD alone can only do so much to bring balance to the endocannabinoid system (ECS), and it needs assistance in the form of cannabinoids. The beneficial relationship is called the entourage effect, and there are only two ways to experience this synergy.

Full Spectrum Hemp Extract

Full spectrum hemp extract means that all cannabinoids are in the formula, which includes trace amounts of THC. THC is the psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis plants that people tend to associate with marijuana.

Under the Farm Bill 2018, all agricultural hemp must have less than 0.3% THC by dry weight. Even at 0.3%, that makes the levels of THC in a formula negligible. However, the small presence of THC still interacts with the endocannabinoid system and your body experiences the other potential effects of THC that aren’t psychoactive.

Some people aren’t comfortable with THC in their formula, and we completely understand that! That’s why there is another option for the best CBD oil out there, which is usually a little more universally accepted.

Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract

Broad spectrum hemp extract still evokes the entourage effect. However, broad spectrum products are commonly completely THC-Free. So since here at Neurorganix we only sell broad spectrum products, all of our products are THC-Free.

The reason we went the broad spectrum route is that we believe everyone should be able to support their wellness with the best CBD available without having to worry about having trace amounts of THC in your body for whatever reason that is important to you!

When you’re choosing a broad or full spectrum CBD product it is important to do the research and what makes you feel comfortable! You’ll also want to make sure to look at factors like ingredients, presence of third-party lab reports, customer reviews, and if that company aligns with you! Whether you are a customer of ours or not, we always recommend for you to do your research!
